Information for Grant Applicants
-
All BCSD faculty and staff are eligible to apply for a Foundation grant. Before submitting an application, confirm with your building principal or other district administrator if there is funding available in the current district budget, or if Arts in Education Co-Ser funding could be applied to the project.
-
Applications must include a simple itemized project budget with researched costs. (Please reach out to FBS is you'd like help creating a budget!)
Once awarded, budget modifications must be approved by the Foundation.
-
The grant review committee considers whether each application is:
Aligned with our mission and vision
Demonstrates innovation
Enhances the learning experience
Defines measurable outcomes
Within the scope of current budget adopted by the BOE
Offering long-term benefits for students and the district
Sustainable beyond the initial project period
-
Yes! All BCSD faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for FBS grants regardless of whether they have received one from us in the past or not.
-
If your proposal is fully or partially funded, you will receive a grant award packet by email.
The award packet will provide the timeline for receiving and spending your grant funds.
You will be given a due date for your project report.
A member of the Foundation will check in periodically to see if you have any news, updates, photos, or testimonials from your project that you are ready to share with the Beacon community!
